The bot joins as a named participant
It is listed like any other attendee, for the whole call. That is a product decision with legal, commercial and practical reasons behind it, and it is the one thing here we will not make configurable.

Meeting notetaker
Connect a calendar once and the notetaker turns up to the meetings you told it to. It announces itself, records until the last person leaves, and hands the audio to the transcription step. If a bot in the room is not appropriate, record from your own browser tab instead.
Start free- Joins from your calendar
- One read-only OAuth grant on Google Calendar. Set it to join everything, only meetings with people outside your domain, or only the ones you flag.
- Always visible, never silent
- It appears as “NeurTask Notetaker” in the participant list. Nobody in the call has to be told separately that it is there, because they can see it.
- Browser recording, no extra attendee
- Records the meeting from your own tab. Useful for calls where an extra participant would be intrusive, and for platforms the bot does not support.
- Google Meet today, Teams with a caveat
- Google Meet is stable. Microsoft Teams works, but Microsoft restricted third-party recording bots in 2026 and we treat that path as at risk. Zoom is not supported yet.
- You decide per meeting
- Cancel a scheduled join, stop a recording mid-call, or delete the meeting and everything derived from it afterwards.

What it does not do yet
- No live transcript during the call. Everything is produced after it ends.
- No Zoom support.
- No slide or screen-share capture.
